Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based out of Norfolk, Virginia. And yes! Travel has always been a big part of my life. I’m happy to capture your story wherever it unfolds. Travel fees may apply for locations outside my local area.
When will we get our photos?
You’ll receive sneak peeks within 48 hours so you can relive a few special moments right away! Your full gallery of beautifully edited images will be ready within 6–8 weeks, delivered through an online gallery that makes viewing, downloading, and sharing simple.
We feel awkward in front of the camera. Will you pose us?
Absolutely! I’ll guide you every step of the way so you feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. I specialize in a blend of documentary and fine art photography, so while I capture candid, authentic moments, I also provide gentle direction and posing to help you look and feel your best — all while keeping it relaxed, fun, and true to who you are.
Do we pay per photo or per session?
All of my sessions are priced by the collection, not by individual images. When you book, you’ll receive your full gallery and have complete access to download, print, and share every photo — no extra fees per image. Your photos are yours to proudly display and enjoy however you wish!
How do we pay for our session?
I accept several forms of payment for your convenience, including checks made payable to Derya Happe, Venmo, Cash, or Zelle.
Can we book you for fewer or more hours than the packages listed?
Of course! While I offer preset packages, every love story is unique. I’m happy to create a custom package tailored to your day, so we can capture your story exactly how you want.
Do you offer help during the planning process?
Yes! Think of me as a resource throughout your wedding journey. By staying connected with you or your planner from the early stages, I can offer guidance on how to best photograph your day, as well as suggestions for timelines, locations, and ways to make your story shine.
Do you use Photoshop?
My style is true documentary — I capture your day as it happens, authentically and honestly. I may gently edit out small distractions or minor blemishes, but I don’t drastically alter the image or the subject. Your memories stay real and true to the moment.
